Designed by noted personal-defense authority Michael Janich, the Yojimbo 2 showcases the extreme cutting power and versatility of the Wharncliffe blade profile. This Exclusive version of the design elevates that performance even higher with Crucible® CPM® S90V® blade steel. The high vanadium content of this state-of-the-art powder metallurgy steel favors the formation of hard vanadium carbides instead of chromium carbides, enhancing its wear resistance and edge-retention properties, while leaving more free chromium available to provide superior corrosion resistance. The hollow-ground PlainEdge™ blade is also cloaked in a stealthy black Diamond Like Carbon (DLC) coating that effectively eliminates its reflective signature, making it ideal for use in tactical environments where light discipline is a concern.
The handle of this Yojimbo 2 features distinctive brown G-10 handle scales. This extremely durable fiberglass/epoxy laminate material has a peel-ply texture to ensure a secure grip and is complemented by non-reflective black screws and hardware. The scales are machined to house nested stainless steel liners that form the foundation of the knife's high-strength Compression Lock® mechanism. They also anchor a black four-position pocket clip that supports all possible carry options.
