Spyderco’s original Rubicon—a collaboration with renowned custom knifemaker Peter Carey—literally redefined the state of the art in factory-made flipper-style folding knives. Now the second-generation Rubicon 2 offers all the same advanced features and performance in a more affordable, utilitarian format. Like the original, its signature, deep-bellied blade design is hollow ground from premium CPM® S30V® particle metallurgy stainless steel and includes both an integral flipper opener and a fully functional Trademark Round Hole™. These features, along with special ball-bearing washers in the pivot, ensure smooth, frictionless, ambidextrous operation with all possible one-hand opening options.

The handle’s full skeletonized titanium liners provide outstanding structural strength and form the heart of the knife’s stout LinerLock mechanism. They are also the foundation for textured carbon fiber/G-10 laminate handle scales and a flush-finished orange G-10 backspacer that complement the handle’s ergonomic profile to offer an amazingly secure, comfortable grip. A reversible black hourglass clip provides convenient left or right-side, tip-up carry and ensures that the Rubicon 2 is always poised and ready for action.
