It is therefore the ideal home for a blade crafted from our proprietary US-made steel—CPM SPY27. Developed exclusively for Spyderco by Crucible Industries, SPY27 is enriched with chromium, niobium, vanadium, and its signature element, cobalt, to offer a remarkable balance of toughness, edge retention, and corrosion resistance. The blade of this knife capitalizes on all these properties, showcasing them in a linerless handle featuring peel-ply-textured G-10 scales in cobalt blue— one of the signature colors of Spyderco's SPY27 family of knives. To support all carry options, it also includes a polished four-position pocket clip.
