Description
The Storm Crow is an early RMJ design, Ryan drew it up when tomahawks were becoming more prevalent during GWOT, and at home where more portable breaching tools were being explored by first responders. You'll find quite a few design elements in tomahawks that came later like the Jenny Wren head shape and Pathfinder's multi-position handle. Tomahawks were "tactical" for hundreds of years in their original forms. They met the needs of the soldiers and frontiersman as both a tool on the battlefield, including the outdoor conditions they encountered. Today, the Storm Crow fits into the preparedness kit, or truck hawk mold. They are great around camp and suited for breaching if an emergency should arise.
The Storm Crow is made from super-tough 80CRV2 tool steel with an overall length of 14", and it weighs in at a solid 28 ounces. The head features a 3" cutting edge with a sharpened beard below for "rake and break" work. The opposite side of the head has an aggressive 2.25" spike for the dirty chores. The multi-position handle offers three distinct areas offering a secure grip for chopping power, to a choked up grip for finer work. If you wish to run a lanyard, the handle features multiple points of attachment. Each Storm Crow has a tungsten-gray Cerakote finish that offers corrosion resistance as well as a low visibility look. The contoured G10 handles feature a fine texturing that offers a secure and comfortable grip without being overly aggressive. The handles are mounted with Grade 5 Titanium hardware fasteners that are electro-anodized bronze.
