Containing almost 15 percent vanadium, its unique alloy composition creates an exceptionally high volume of vanadium carbides in its microstructure. In knife blades, this translates to breathtaking cutting performance and edge retention. Spyderco’s limited-edition family of CPM 15V knives is further enhanced by a specialized heat-treating protocol developed by acclaimed custom knifemaker Shawn Houston. This Native 5 Sprint Run faithfully includes all the proven elements of this design, including a high-strength back lock mechanism and a four-position pocket clip. To clearly distinguish it as a member of our CPM 15V family, it also features brown peel-ply-textured G-10 handle scales and Shawn Houston’s “Triple B” logo laser engraved on the reverse side of the full-flat-ground blade.
